Ice Storm

Ah, it's that time of year again in the Midwest! Where the night air makes your spirit rise as you watch the first few magical flakes of snow drift through the air…and quickly turn into half-frozen drops of rain which coat everything with a thick layer of ice. The roads become impossible to drive, the trees bend over under the frozen weight, and sidewalks refuse to be cleared, no matter how much they are scraped or salted.

Good news is that the birds will become a lot more visible with the freezing over of their food sources forces them to forage more widely…hopefully we'll have some luck with them maƱana.
